Introduction

The Institute of Nursing believes that the basic course of Nursing is a formal education preparation, which should be based on sound education principles as per the Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra Nursing Council.

We believe that the Nurse is to assist an individual sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing towards health or its recovery (or to a peaceful death). That she should perform unaided if she had the necessary strength, will, or knowledge.

We believe that the basic course A.N.M. in Nursing should prepare Nurses for positions in nursing both in hospital & community. To achieve this, we believe that good understanding of basic scientific principles and communication skills influenced by scientific & technological advances is necessary.

To achieve this, we believe that nursing students play an important role in the health of the community and their potential is supplemented with Knowledge, Skill & Attitude particularly those pertaining to health disease. She can play an important role in promoting health and providing a healing touch during illness.

To provide such skills, knowledge and attitude to the students in the Institute of Nursing, it would serve the purpose of achieving the goal of health — to have facilities for professional training, to recognize our responsibility to society for the continued development of students as individuals, nurses & citizens, and to enable further professional and personal growth.
